Heritage SuperInsulated Homes
Heritage started building well insulated, energy efficient homes in 1978. These sensible homes were economical to heat and cool, even before the energy crunch and the high cost of fuel.
We've always believed it to be wise to invest a little more in a home when it is built and enjoy the energy savings year after year -- for the life of the home. We put all the available technology together, along with some of the best products, to develop our Heritage Energy Efficient Home Building System.
In 1984, after a year of testing and studying results from test homes in Canada and the Northwest, we expanded on our Energy Efficient homes and developed the Heritage Superinsulation System.
Again, not just more insulation, but a combination of technology and products, and a requirement that your basement be insulated, resulted in a house that required so little energy to heat that it was unbelievable to a lot of people -- including many power companies and heating engineers. So we started to put a separate meter on many homes to monitor the actual energy requirements for heating the home.
Over 400 Superinsulated homes built in the past 15 years prove to Heritage Superinsulation System Works! Superinsulation is not just more insulation. It is a total system to reduce the heat requirements of a home.
Different families, of course, will vary the total heating requirements because of family size, living and cooking habits, and room temperature settings. However, even with these variables, the system works so well that Heritage Homes will guarantee, in writing, that the total energy usage will e less than calculated. Should the energy costs be more than calculated for your home, Heritage Homes of NE, Inc. will pay for the difference for the first three years you live in the home. When you consider the energy savings for both heating and cooling, you will see why Superinsulation doesn't cost -- it pays. The price of propane, natural gas and electricity has challenged us to build homes that use a little energy as possible. The Heritage Superinsulated Home is the answer to that challenge.
